Shanghai Greenland Shenhua of China striker, Obafemi Akinwunmi Martins (Obagoll) was back with a bang last weekend, as the former Super Eagles star hit a goal for his side in the first leg final of this year’s Chinese FA Cup.
The Weapon of Mass Destruction made hay en route to emerging hero of the day for his team, as he hit the lone goal in their victory over Shanghai SIPG in the first leg of what is officially known as Y?anjing Be’er Cup.
The 33-year-old former Inter Milan of Italy prodigy, who had previously been voted most valuable player of the semi-final round of the ?competition, scored what ended up as the winner for his team in the 38th minute.
The goal will see his team go into the second leg of the final game needing a draw to win the Cup in China, a title they last won in 1998, and twice ended up as runners-up in 2015 and 1995.
