Nanny Sent To Prison For Inserting Fingers Into 2 Girls’ Vagina


A 43 years old Nanny, Comfort Adeleke has been arrested and arraigned before a Lagos Magistrate Court for allegedly inserting her fingers into the private parts of the two female children of her employer and inflicted injuries on their private parts.

The two girls aged four years and 20 months old were entrusted in her care as a Nanny by the mother of the children.
A Police source said that the Female Divisional Police Officer, DPO in charge of Ilasan Division, Lekki, Lagos, SP Onyinye Onwuamegbu ordered Sgt Lucky Elele to arrest the nanny following a complaint by the mother of the victims.
Adeleke was arraigned before an Igbosere Magistrate Court, Lagos on a one count charge of inserting fingers into the vagina of a 4-year old and 20 month old children and caused them harm.
Police Prosecutor, Friday Mameh informed the court in charge No F/79/2017 that the accused committed the offence on 23 December, 2017 at Bamidele Eletu Street, Osapa- London, Lekki, where she lives with the complainant and the victims as a nanny.
Mameh told the court that the complainant reported to the Police that she left her two children in the care of the accused who is her nanny to work and that when she returned she discovered that her nanny had inserted her fingers into the private parts of her two children and inflicted injuries on their private parts.
Mameh said that the complainant further stated that following the ugly incident, she rushed her children to the hospital where doctors confirmed that her children’s private parts had been tampered with.
Mameh said the offence the accused committed is punishable under section 135 of the criminal Laws of Lagos State, 2015.
The accused, however, pleaded not guilty to the alleged offence and her counsel, Loveline Ezemegbu urged the court to admit the defendant to bail in the liberal terms.
Chief Magistrate, Mr B.A Sonuga turned down the bail application and ordered that the defendant be kept at the Kirikiri Prison, Apapa, Lagos till 30 January, 2018 when the medical report of the alleged injuries sustained by the two victims would be revealed.
